SMART&WISE project with Indian and German companies and research institutes

Since April 2018 Ingenieurbuero Scheer coordinates and works on the project "Smart and reliable water and wastewater infrastructure systems for our future cities in India and Germany".

Together with  Tamil Nadu Water Investment Company Limited and Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Chennai as well as Technische Universität Kaiserslautern and company Tandler.com planning methods and tools for reliable and sustainable water and wastewater systems were developped. The project website you find here.

Visit of Professor Paulo (Brazil) at Ingenieurbuero Scheer

In March 2018 Prof. Dr. Ir. Paula Paulo of Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), Campo Grande, Brazil, visited Ingenieurbüro Scheer in the frame of the CONNECT Programm of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Besides field visits and meetings with other companies, opportunities for research cooperation were worked out. 

Research focus of von Prof. Paulo are natural water and wastewater treatment systems and recycling of water . She is head of the research group Resource-orientated Sanitation at UFMS and Committee Member of the IWA specialist group Resource-orientated Sanitation.

 

Working visit at Indian Institute of Technology Madras

In June 2017 Dr.-Ing. Martina Scheer visited the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Chennai, India. She was invited by Prof. Ligy Philip, Department for Civil Engineering, Environmental and Water Resources Engineering Division. Together with Prof. Ligy Philip and Prof. B.S. Murty, mainly the topic application orientation of Indian research projects was worked out. Several Indian research projects were investigated and visited. The visit was carried out in the frame of the CONNECT program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

 

German-American Frontiers of Engineering Symposium

From March 31th - April 2nd the German-American Frontiers of Engineering Symposium was carried in Evendale, Ohio.
Together with Prof. Meagan Mauter, Carnegie Mellon University Dr.-Ing. Martina Scheer organised the session
STREAMS OF WATER AND INFORMATION: MANAGING WATER SUPPLY, TREATMENT, AND DELIVERY IN THE 21ST CENTURY
